Family Panel Solicitor / Family Supervisor

Hybrid Working | Harrow Office Base | Hybrid Working

Competitive Salary + Outstanding Flexibility

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Family Panel Solicitor to join a well-established and highly regarded law firm with a strong reputation in both publicly funded and privately funded Family Law matters.

This is a key senior appointment within a thriving Family department, offering the opportunity to take a leading role in the supervision and development of a dedicated team while maintaining a varied and rewarding caseload. The firm is committed to providing an outstanding level of support, allowing fee earners to focus on delivering exceptional client care rather than administrative tasks.

What makes this opportunity stand out is the firm's exceptionally flexible approach to hybrid working. Applications are welcomed from candidates based anywhere in England and Wales, provided they are able to attend the firm's Hounslow office approximately once per week for team collaboration, supervision, and key meetings. Part-time applicants will also be considered.

The Role

  • Manage a varied caseload of public and private family law matters.
  • Conduct and supervise care proceedings and private children matters.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and technical support to junior solicitors and caseworkers.
  • Ensure compliance with Legal Aid Agency requirements and quality standards.
  • Play a key role in the continued growth and success of the Family department.

Candidate Requirements

  • Qualified Solicitor of England & Wales.
  • Minimum 5 years' PQE in Family Law.
  • Current Family Panel accreditation is essential.
  • Previous supervisory experience within a Family Law team.
  • Extensive experience handling both Legal Aid and privately funded matters.
  • Strong expertise in care proceedings, child arrangements disputes, divorce, and financial remedy work.
  • Excellent knowledge of Legal Aid Agency compliance requirements.
  • Strong leadership, mentoring, and organisational skills.

Why Apply?

  • Senior supervisory role with genuine influence and autonomy.
  • Work from anywhere in England and Wales, with only weekly office attendance required.
  • Flexible hybrid and part-time working options available.
  • Established support structure, including dedicated administrative and support teams.
  • Collaborative, friendly, and down-to-earth culture.
  • Strong pipeline of quality family work, including both Legal Aid and private matters.
  • Opportunity to lead and shape a growing Family department.
  • Fast interview process with immediate hiring needs.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Family Panel-accredited solicitor looking to step into a senior supervisory position while benefiting from a level of flexibility rarely found in the legal sector. If you are passionate about Family Law, experienced in care proceedings, and keen to join a supportive and progressive team, we would love to hear from you.
